Meet Ed Bley

I don’t have the worst job.

In the recent past I hand-selected or blended over 250 private barrels before starting this company. By selling and marketing to enthusiasts and collectors out of one store in Northern KY, lines of people started to form from all over the US and overseas to purchase these limited releases. In 2017, I was Wild Turkeys Private barrel customer of the year globally. It was a pleasure ingratiating myself into a beautiful small world of bourbon professionals.

Along the way, I sharpened my skills at tasting, selecting, and blending. My experience is the kind that can only come through many iterations of releases. I was fortunate to have a steady stream of opportunities to repeat, repeat, and repeat.

I was encouraged to take my skills to the next level.

I partnered with a small set of like-minded enthusiasts who give me free license to release what I want. My only obligation is to make each release special and unique, and to have the highest quality available. In a world of multi-nationals pressuring artisan producers to maximize profits by releasing anything that can be poured, I just need to ensure everything we release is memorable.

This allows me to do what I do best. Sometimes it’s fishing, sometimes it’s cleaning up after the animals, sometimes it’s releasing critically acclaimed bourbons when the time is right.

I can’t guarantee you that I will have something I think should be released on any regular schedule, always on the shelf, but I can guarantee you that if it has my name on it, I have done everything I could to make an exceptional pour that both you and I will be proud of.

I don’t have the worst job, except sometimes the part about cleaning up after the animals.

Drink something special today.
