My daddy used to say ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’. Well - when it comes to Old Stubborn Single Barrel Wheated Bourbons, you don’t fix them, you drink them. This release follows the last, 8 hand chosen barrels - picked at their peak, and barely changed from barrel to bottle. Dark and oily, long lasting finish. ‘Linger Freaking Good’.
WHAT’S IN THE BOTTLE?
We chose the ‘cream of Wheated Bourbons’, our pot stilled Single Barrels aged from 11 to 14 years. Released at barrel proof, non-chill filtered, and ranging from 127 to 145 proof, there are under 650 bottles this time around. One of the barrels had 13 bottles in it; One of those bottles is on my shelf.
